Towline Tag

Tag
is created using art of and copyright to Al Rio
You
can see more of hisr art at www.alrioart.com
For this tutorial you will only
need PSP and the Tramages filter.
Let's get started.
Choose your tube and open a new canvas 400x500.
Choose a gradient with a color that goes with your tube.
Angle 124 - repeats 1. You can of course also make your
own gradient choosing two colors from your tube and go
to foreground/background of your gradients, with the
same angle and repeat.
Flood fill your canvas and go to Effects - Tramages
Filter - Tow the line and add with the default settings

Add
a new layer and choose your Preset Tools - Rectangle -
Line width 7 and turn off your background color
Draw
a small rectangle and duplicate this layer and resize
the duplicated layer by
85% - all layers unchecked. With your mover tool move
the resized layer, so it's in the middle of the bigger
rectangle. Now hide all other layers except the two
layers with the rectangle and Merge visible and to the
merged layer add inner bevel with the following
settings.

Duplicate the merged layer twice and with your
deformation tool turn the top layer about 90 degrees.
Now do the same to the second layer from top and with
your mover tool move them in to position
This
is what you should have now

Now
go to your tube and copy and paste as a new layer on the
background and resize with all layers unchecked if
needed
Add
drop shadow

The
font I used on my tag is Algerian and in my computer it
is a system font and I used the same foreground color as
on the back ground and gradient as background color.
Text size 72.
Add
a new layer and type in your name
Add
the same inner bevel as before and drop shadow
Add
a new layer and type Welcome - text size 55 and add
Inner Bevel and Drop Shadow as before
Add
artist info on a new layer
Now
when you look at the image the sides of the back ground
aren't quite straight. We will crop the image very
slightly from the sides. My canvas size is now 395 x
498.
Go
to layers - Merge - Merge All ( Flatten)
No
go to Image - Add Borders
Add
borders with these settings

As
you can see I have chosen a bright color that is very
different from the colors on my image
Click on the brightly colored border with your magic
wand and add your fore ground color and add the same
Inner bevel - no drop shadow
Now
go to Image - Add Borders again, but this time change
the pixel size to 14 and add the gradient you have as a
back ground color No Inner Bevel this time.
And
repeat a third time, this time pixel size 4 and use the
foreground color and add the
same inner bevel .
Resize your image and save as jpg
Hope
you found this tutorial easy to follow
